Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Long Branch Athletic Association. The strength of our programs comes from dedicated volunteers who serve as coaches, mentors, and tutors.  Below are brief descriptions of each of these volunteer positions.

COACH- The team coach will be the main liaison between the team and the staff of LBAA.  The coach will lead one practice during the week and one game on the weekend.  The coach is responsible of ensuring that members of the team are provided transportation to the practice and game sites.  The coach will also delegate tasks to the assistant coaches as appropriate.

ASSISTANT COACH- The role of the assistant coach is to provide additional support to the team as the coach sees appropriate.  The assistant coach will also take attendance for each practice and game and be responsible for reporting weekly attendance to the Program Director.

TUTOR- A tutor will provide assistance and support to their assigned students.  Each group will consist of up to 10 students.  Commitment will be Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm – 5pm at Broad Acres Elementary.
